Australia's Humanitarian Policy sets out how Australia will harness its resources and expertise to better prepare for and respond to humanitarian crises, with a particular focus on the Indo-Pacific. It prioritises readiness and preparedness, rapid and effective crisis response, and reinforcing the international humanitarian system, while addressing the root causes of humanitarian need.
