This practical guidebook helps development and humanitarian practitioners design and conduct research that is responsive to people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC). Drawing on consultations with DFAT and NGO staff and a review of academic and grey literature, it covers risk mitigation, community engagement, data collection and sampling, and analysis, learning and uptake.
