What effective approaches are there to ensure equitable access of people with disabilities to sexual and reproductive health and rights, and specifically family planning?

This short resource sets out practical steps for making sexual and reproductive health and rights services, including family planning, inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities. It argues that these services need to be inclusive and accessible as part of the global commitment to universal health coverage, and that they are not only an integral part of the right to health but are necessary for the enjoyment of many other human rights, including the rights to life, information and freedom from discrimination.

It provides guidance for donors, practitioners, healthcare providers and organisations working with people with disabilities, including civil society organisations. The resource forms part of the Inclusive Futures goal of developing innovative solutions to increase disability inclusion in mainstream development and humanitarian programmes, including sexual and reproductive health.
