Gender, inclusion and trade thematic brief: integrating gender and inclusion into Prosperity Fund trade programmes

This thematic brief from the Work and Opportunities for Women helpdesk synthesises the evidence on the links between gender, social inclusion and trade, setting out the different roles women hold in trade across selected middle-income countries. It was prepared for the UK's Prosperity Fund and pays particular attention to non-tariff barriers to trade.

The brief identifies the key evidence gaps relevant to that focus and summarises promising practices from existing interventions. It is intended to be practical for trade programming: it sets out good practice tools and approaches for integrating gender and social analysis into programme design and delivery, in support of gender equality, women's economic empowerment and inclusive growth.
