Gender equality and social inclusion self-assessment tool for projects

This self-assessment tool provides a gender equality and social inclusion framework to help practitioners identify areas for improvement in their projects and adapt them to become more transformative. It argues that transformative activities are more likely to deliver sustainable change in education equality and in the lives of project participants, as well as for future generations of girls.

The tool was designed to assess whether high-level gender equality and social inclusion ambitions were actually being delivered at activity level, as part of a monitoring cycle. Although it was developed for education programming, it can be used by any project working in any thematic area, and the publisher recommends repeating the exercise roughly every six months to track progress.
