This strategy sets out how the Global Innovation Fund approaches climate change across its portfolio, covering context, resilience and adaptation, and how the Fund will support climate adaptation in alignment with the Paris Agreement.

It argues that the Fund's innovations make people wealthier, healthier and better educated, and advance women's empowerment, and that this in turn builds people's capacity to withstand shocks and adapt to climate stresses, both now and in the future. The strategy positions adaptation and resilience alongside the Fund's wider social impact objectives rather than as a separate workstream.
