The 19th edition of the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report benchmarks gender parity across 148 economies on economic participation, educational attainment, health and political empowerment. It finds the global gender gap is 68.8 per cent closed, with full parity projected to take 123 years at the current pace, while Iceland retains the top ranking for the 16th consecutive year.
