Good practice for gender equality perception surveys

This paper presents research and a collation of good practice and tips for designing perception surveys that seek to understand gender equality issues, including recommendations on safeguarding, meaningful participation and inclusion.

It outlines the core principles for operationalising perception surveys, with guidance on data collection tools and methods, informed consent, and who can and should be involved as researchers and data collectors. It also covers key stakeholder engagement and involvement, to support inclusion, triangulation and accountability. It was produced by the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund's Women, Peace and Security Helpdesk.
