This UN Women guidance note provides technical advice to UN Women country teams on supporting Member States to address violence against women in politics, an internationally recognised violation of and deterrent to women's political participation. While focused on politics, it also applies more broadly to violence against women human rights defenders, journalists and others active in public life.
