Developed for Pacific Women Lead, this guidance note supports programs to strengthen the inclusion of people of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) in the Pacific. It was authored by longtime Pacific Island diverse SOGIESC feminist activists Noelene Nabulivou and Kris Prasad, and illustrated by Regina Vaka'uta.

The note introduces SOGIESC in the Pacific context and applies a '4 Ps' framework — people, place, process and products — to practical inclusion, including guidance on safe and strategic data collection and analysis. It draws on the ginger flower metaphor developed by the Pacific feminist collective DIVA for Equality: we should never focus on one aspect of a person's identity and ignore their other realities. It includes a glossary and further reading.
