SOGIESC handbook for humanitarian actors
The SOGIESC Handbook for Humanitarian Actors is a comprehensive guide to promoting the understanding and inclusion of people of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) in humanitarian work. It explores the socio-cultural and legal dimensions of SOGIESC and offers practical strategies to make humanitarian action more inclusive and responsive to LGBTQI+ individuals and other marginalised communities.
Developed by the Rainbow Pride Foundation in Fiji under the Disaster READY program, the handbook supports practitioners to engage safely and respectfully with diverse SOGIESC communities and to strengthen protection across the humanitarian program cycle.
