Strengthening governance for climate-resilient WASH systems
This learning brief shares findings from the second of three learning groups convened under the DFAT-funded Water for Women Fund's 2023–24 Learning Agenda, which asked how WASH governance systems integrate climate risk and resilience and what promising practices can be shared.
It finds that while WASH stakeholders globally are increasing efforts to strengthen climate resilience, integrating climate risk and resilience into WASH governance systems remains a new reform area in most settings, and that existing frameworks rarely bridge both climate resilience and WASH governance.
