The gender handbook for humanitarian action
Published by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee, this handbook updates the original 2006 gender handbook and sets out the rationale for integrating gender equality and women's empowerment into the humanitarian programme cycle, from assessment through to monitoring. Launched with UN Women and ECHO, it provides practical, sector-specific guidance for frontline humanitarian workers, reflecting commitments made under the Sendai Framework, the Grand Bargain and the World Humanitarian Summit.
